Dear friends & family, You may already know that I am a member of The Holy Cows, an incredible FIRST Robotics team at High Tech High. Our nationally ranked team spends countless hours designing, prototyping and building a unique robot to compete in 2 regional FIRST Robotics competitions and then hopefully on to the National FIRST Robotics Championships! We also work tirelessly year round in our community to grow an appreciation for science and technology though numerous outreach and community service events. Through FIRST Robotics we are working to create a world where science and technology is celebrated and young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes. I love FIRST Robotics because: 1. It's given me a chance to experience engineering, and I love it! 2. I've been able to travel all around the U.S. to meet and compete against other fantastic aspiring engineers. 3. I've been able to work with and grow alongside amazing mentors and teammates - they're part of my family now. My parents love FIRST Robotics because: 1. More than $14.7 million in scholarship dollars are available to FRC team members 2. 88% of FRC alumni went on to college. 3. 86% of FRC alumni reported an increased interest in science and technology. 4. 89% of FRC alumni reported increased self confidence We are having the hardest fun we'll ever have and are becoming the next generation of innovators and engineers. I am sending this email to you to ask for your support. My personal goal is to raise at least $1000 to help fund travel expenses.
